Ignore Time Spent Reading Task Instructions#136

J

SUMMARY:
Task blocks, first click blocks and others that report on time include the time spent reading the block’s instructions.

PROBLEM:
We do not need to know how long it takes to read directions. We only need to know how long it takes the participant to make a decision AFTER STARTING THE TASK.

For example, a First Click Test reports that it took a use 22 seconds, however 19 seconds were spent readng the directions, and it only took 3 seconds to make the first click.

Including time to read instructions in the test resutls makes the test data useless.

SOLUTION:
Only count time completing the task, after all instructions have been read and the button has been clicked to start the task.

Please do not track time until spent using the Useberry interface.
